Skived Teflon® is pure film. With Teflon® Coated Glass Fabric the Teflon® that has been applied to the glass fabric and the result is a relatively smooth surface. The Skived Teflon® has a much smoother surface,thus a lower coefficient of friction, and a higher release.

Although glass fabric is used in more applications because most require the high tear strength of the Teflon® Glass.
